Python / Django Developer

Job Description

  • Build and maintain web applications using Python and the Django framework
  • Design and implement backend logic, database models, and user profile systems for community and contributor focused functionality
  • Implement mailing list and newsletter systems that help users stay connected with community activity
  • Collaborate with an external partners
  • Build systems that recognise contributors through profile features, participation tracking, through GitHub and other 3rd party APIs
  • Ensure all code is maintainable, secure, and aligned with best Django practice

Requirements

  • US Resident, with full right to work status
  • Strong proficiency in Python
  • A minimum of 5 years experience with Django including ORM, models, views, and templates
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • Frontend familiarity with HTML and CSS
  • Any experience with lower level languages is a bonus but not required
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote US based environment

  • Competitive salary between $120,000 and $150,000
