Python Productivity Gain?

Maybe it doesn't matter.  If you hire your programmers by running an
ad in the paper, and advertising "Python programmers wanted" gets you
better programmers than advertising "VB programmers wanted", maybe
that by itself is good enough reason to do your project in Python,
irrespective of whether Python is objectively better than VB.
