Mail problems...

Maybe it's just me (or my setup), but I'm getting really inconsistent results 
downloading this list.

I'm getting two specific problems:

1) My postings sometimes don't appear for ages (1 day+)
2) I get others postings out of order; I get loads of replies but no original, 
then the original appears many hours or maybe even a day later... Oh, and 
that has happened with replies to some of my posts too!

Are there any know problems with Kmail? Do I have to set things up differently 
to cope with python-list?  I have ADSL internet, and I'm running Mandrake 9.0 
Download Ed.  I have no problems with other mail sources.
