controlling web browser in windows

Alan,

Automated browser control might be the best-suited solution to your
problem, but there are other ways to "interfere" with a person
browsing the Web. For example, an HTTP proxy server application could
sit as a mediator between your subject and the Web, logging actions
and redirecting the Web browsers as needed. (Python could do that
too!) It depends on what you're trying to accomplish.

Would you be willing to share what you mean by "completing a task" on
a web page, and why the "back button" control is important?
