Perhaps I am just dumb

Programming" ...

A bit out of context, but I would like to take the opportunity
to commend Steve' efforts. He rightly assumes that it is the
Web technology some of us need/want to understand better (get hands on
with), and that we choose to do so via Python (either because we are already
comfortable with it, willing to learn it, or find Python particularly well
suited for this type of exploration).

Being a Big Shot now, I was able to skip over most of the Python
introduction, and get right to the heart of the Web technology
presentations, from which I am learning much and having good fun.

This and the new O'Reilly book "Python & XML" by Jones and Drake are a great
one, two punch.

I expect to be dangerous after having absorbed them.

Or at least a lot less mystified.

There may come a point when I follow considerably more than my current 26%*
of the discussion on the python-list.
