wxPython experiences

Hello,
Does anyone have any extensive experiences with wxPython 2.1.x they'd care
to share?  Has it proven to be stable and relatively bug free?  Any
gotcha's?  I've heard someone mention that it is rather large, but that
doesn't surpise me as it's very feature-laden!  I ran it through the UPX
compressor which took it down to 950K from 1.7MB.  Any other words of
wisdom?
