Right, but it still seems counter-intuitive to me.

1. name at domain is the format of an e-mail address, not a web address

2. How often do you change the web url for list management?

3. How often does a given list have a different identity?

3:2 is more than 100:1 in every list environment I've ever seen.  topped
with the confused syntax presented in #1, I guess I am arguing that we
change the behavior.
