[PYTHON IMAGE-SIG] Building the PIL

Frustration, frustration, frustration.

Do I really *have* to build it within the python source tree?  I don't  
*want* to build it there... I have python correctly and completely  
installed-- libraries/headers included-- and don't want to have to maintain  
a ready-to-build-for-any-custom-module python tree.

This is one of the few remaining areas that Perl5 has Python beat hands down...
