Konrad, Since I've always respected your opinion, I really would like to know what it would take for you to 1) recommend and 2) require your users to install something like (or a reduced subset of something like) scipy. What threshold of "easy to install" do you have -- if you can define it. Also, What platforms do your users use? -Travis Oliphant
