   That is certainly on the agenda.

   The Mac hasn't really had a decent binary visual object standard since
the demise of OpenDoc. Controls are too low level for something as complex
as Scintilla. I'm not very current on MacOS development but I imagine that
OS X will have something sensible for this.

   There is wxStyledTextControl, a Scintilla based class for wxWindows,
which could be made to work on MacOS.
