As far as I know, the changes are global so you're right, everyone's
email will appear to be from pyladies-blr at python.org. There are some
details about the setting over here http://wiki.list.org/DEV/DMARC

This is something more general and I'm not sure why. There was a similar
issue which all the admins on the inpycon list faced recently although
it seems to be resolved now. mailman at python.org is the admin address for
python.org mailing list support so perhaps you can email them to fix the
problem.

One of the other inpycon admins suggested, as a temporary solution, to
connect via a VPN. I've not tried it myself.
