Hi Anna,

Good to connect with you.
I am planning to attend PyCon US 2019, I have a speaker proposal due where
I am representing my community, Sugar Labs and also applied for financial
assistance to help in my travels.

Yes, we organized Open Spaces in PyCon India back to back for 2 years. It's
a small meetup like event where communities, organizations and even other
people come together to share information, promote their programs, spread
awareness with attendees of PyCon. These take place throughout the day,
with sessions happening that anyone can attend. I love open spaces, because
of the great time I spent networking with awesome people. In PyCon India
2017, we had a session from Nouful Ibrahim on the importance of mentoring
and his love for calligraphy. He was also the keynote speaker at that year.
These sessions are kept light, and informative.
