Hi all!
Every post to this mailing list gets an auto-response that answers the
most common questions, but for those of you who are maybe reading the
archives or lurking and haven't posted, I'll share some links:
All the latest information, including information on how to get started,
can be found here:
http://python-gsoc.org/
I recommend reading as much of it as you have time for, but for a quick
start you probably want to read our instructions on getting started:
http://python-gsoc.org/index.html#gettingstarted
And then our instructions on how to apply:
http://python-gsoc.org/index.html#apply
Note that all applications MUST go through the Google system
https://summerofcode.withgoogle.com/ which won't open for contributor
applications until March 20th. Please do not post applications (or
resumes) on this mailing list!
For those who want a little more detail on what we expect from you and
what you expect for us, we've got some more detailed contributor info here:
https://python-gsoc.org/contributors.html
And before asking here, you might want to check out the list of
frequently asked questions:
https://python-gsoc.org/contributors.html#faq
which includes "How do I choose a project or a sub-org?"
https://python-gsoc.org/contributors.html#choosing
And "how many slots does python get?"
https://python-gsoc.org/contributors.html#slots
Best of luck!
Terri
