[C++-sig] Problem building boost.python for Cygwin

I am not really familiar with bjam, and even less so with cygwin. But here is a
command line example that works for me under Linux:

bjam -sPYTHON_ROOT=/usr/local_cci/Python-2.2.1 -sPYTHON_VERSION=2.2
-sTOOLS=gcc -sBUILD=debug

Maybe you are just missing the -sPYTHON_* arguments?
