[Python-Belgium] What about a "PyCon Be" during educode ?

Dear all,

I have not seen any Pycon Be conference yet, neither on
https://www.pycon.org/ not searching the web.

What about the idea of organizing a PyCon Be during educode (Monday 27/8
till Wednesday 29/8) or during the week-end just before (Saturday 25 and
Sunday 26/8) ?

The idea is that with a bunch of people knowledgeable about python,
speaking French, Flemish and English around, it would be easier to
organize some workshops about python for Belgian teachers and decision
makers on Tuesday 28/8.

Also the pycon participants could be part of the festivities around
educode and benefit from the general infrastructure : welcome cocktail
at the royal academy on Sunday 26 at 18h, conference by Thomas Pesquet
and concert at Bozar on Monday 27 at 18h, gala dinner at the Institut
royal d'histoire naturelle on Tuesday 28 at 18h and finally farewell
drink back at the academy on Wednesday 29 at 18h, and share the pauses
cafés and the buffet meals.

It would not conflict with EuroPython 2018 that is at the end of July,
not pycon fr that is traditionally later in October of November if I am
right. The conflict could be with euroscipy that could be organized this
year in Italy at the same 27-29/8. But we cannot change our dates and
these are not fixed yet, nor are the communities the same.

Please let me know what you think.

Who would be interested to organize such a PyconBe ? We (the educode
organizers) could give some help by providing rooms, some contacts,
space on our communication ...

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Nicolas
