Hello Andrea,
So, I must say that it is not exactly clear to me what you are trying to 
do. That said, if it involves linear programming, it looks like pulp-or 
(http://code.google.com/p/pulp-or/) might be pretty easy to use. Not so 
easy, but a little more general is cvxopt (http://cvxopt.org/). Also not 
so easy but very general is OpenOpt (http://openopt.org/Welcome).
