When Inside Mac changed from the series of numbered volumes to the
[endless] series of named volumes, there were soon LOTS of volumes.  (It's
essentially the named series which became HTML.)

At one point Apple's "d e v e l o p" magazine ran something like the
following apocryphal exchange:

Developer:  How many Inside Macintosh volumes will there be?

Developer Support Engineer:   How long is your bookshelf?
