Truly?  That's (very close to) 7 inch by 9 inch, 177.8 mm x 228.6 mm
and 7 by 9 is what pre-metric Britian called 'Small Post Quarto'.
I wonder if this merely a coincidence, or does some software really
still like this size?  How very weird.
