Sorrry I never claimed this, I'm just seeing on how Python is becoming
less Unicode friendly.

I totaly agree, and utf-8 is doing that with a great art. (see Neil
Hodgson
comment).
(Do not interpret this as if i'm saying "Python should use utf-8, as
I'have read).
