Only when each impression is fairly expensive to cause. Unfortunately,
spam (whether usenet, guestbook, blog comment, email, or whatever) is
very cheap per impression, so the best strategy is indeed to just jizz
enormous amounts of it indiscriminately into any socket that will
accept the insertion of your network packets. It's the same problem as
causes the battle of the sexes; expensive eggs vs. cheap sperm. :P
