v2.3, 2.4, and 2.5's GUI is slow for me

It is always slow, even when I first start it up and do not enter in any
code. This is really bugging me, maybe I have OCD >__> I turned off my
anti-virus and that didn't help. Oh well.
I'm just glad to know that other people have this problem too.
