The closest thing I found was libmysqlclient.a in /home/gpinero/rpmmysql/usr/lib/mysql/ I added that path to my library_dir in setup.py but I still get the same error message when I do python2.4 setup.py build I really appriciate your help. I really want to start web development in python. Thanks, Greg
