get https page

What I'm trying to do seems like it should be really easy.  I want to
use python to grab the page
https://www.schedulesource.com/teamwork/logon/

I'm using active state python 2.3.2 on windows.

I've tried putting in various libraries, running various code sippets,
but I always get the following message:

raise URLError('unknown url type: %s' % type)

I'm sure this is really easy, can anybody point me in the write
direction?
