I highly recommend "Core Python" and saw several at the "75% Off Bookstore"
for USD$4.99. Intend on going by there tomorrow to get another one since the
first one is almost worn out!

At that price, I almost bought a couple for the Perl evangelists in the
office. ]8-)

:> Greetings!
:>
:> I'm looking for a few opinions on the above subject. I'm a computer
:> science student who has had some introductory lectures on Python
:> and I've
:> done some very basic mucking around with. I'm looking for a clear
:> reference and/or introductory text. Any suggestions would be
:> nice. I have
:> looked at http://www.python.org/cgi-bin/moinmoin/IntroductoryBooks but
:> there appears to be a number of good books to choose from there.
