terminological obscurity

And I keep thinking this is a thread about homogenous and
hetereogenous.

Tuples and lists are easy.

dir( () )

vs.

dir( [] )

There is no doubt in my mind that I am *using* lists correctly, where
there is something esssential I need that I find with dir( [] ) and
don't find with dir( () ).
