Note that Jeremy Bowers' usage is standard American usage (billion = 
10^9, trillion = 10^12).  This is a difference between American English 
and British-style English.  (I would presume, though I don't know 
directly, that Australia and New Zealand probably use the British 
style...)  In America, "billiard" is only a funny variant on playing 
pool. ;)
