I actually got the demo working on redhat 9. Though I haven't done
anything with it yet. I only started it and looked around. Do you think
TKinter is too primitive or just the gui builder itself? How do you compare
it to using commercial verision of BA

I think Komodo is a great idea but don't like it's built in GUI. It seems a little too primitive me
what I'm looking for. Another problem is that when you select debug, it tries to connect to port
9000 and sometimes gets hung there. I found a workaround for this but it's still a pain.

I never was able to get Komodo to work on Linux. I tried it on Redhat 9.0 and it wouldn't work at
all. Tech support told me that Redhat had problems but it worked on SuSE 9.0 so I went out and
bought SuSE 9.0, deleted Redhat and installed SuSE. Still no go. It is trying to connect to port
9000. ActiveState tech support told me that Linux must be blocking some ports but every else on my
network seems to be working fine.

They have a demo you can try out. I think they will be solving these problems in Komodo 3.0.
