Python vs. C++ Builder - speed of development

Ask yourself: how much of your application consists of the GUI?
In my experience, tha "RAD" aspect of so-called RAD IDE's like the ones
you mention pretty much grinds to a halt once you:
- want a GUI that's different from the "straightforward" ones you can
   create using the "RAD" tool
- discover that the real complexity / dynamism / changing requirements
   is not in the GUI but in the logic.

I dare say that Python will prove the better. Even if you just use VI.
