IDLE is not Python. IDLE is a development environment for Python (in
Python). It takes extra measures in its interactive window to make things
pretty and nice. Notice how it colors things too? Does your shell do that?
Indentation is just another perk.

When my fist clenches crack it open, And if I swallow anything evil,
Before I use it and lose my cool. Put you finger down my throat.
When I smile tell me some bad news, And if I shiver please give me
Before I laugh and act like a fool. a blanket,
Keep me warm let me wear your coat

No one knows what it's like to be the bad man, to be the sad man.
Behind blue eyes. No one knows what its like to be hated, to be fated,
To telling only lies.
