Python + PostgreSQL

Hi,


I'm new to Python and I'm trying to develop an application that access
a PostgreSQL database. I couldn't find references for database modules
at the Python Reference Library but I found some stuff on Google and
http://techdocs.postgresql.org/oresources.php. Before I start
downloading and building such applications, I'd like to know if
there's something like ADODB or Perl's DBI module for Python that's a
standard for building applications using RDBMS with Python.
