AND, in this particular case, Python and Perl are
sufficiently lightweight in a particular sense
that it is reasonable to try them both and experience
them for yourself.  They're cheap to install and
exercise.  This is in marked contrast to, say, C++,
Java, Ada, CLOS, ... where you might invest several
years before you are sure whether they fit your own
mentality.
