With the current ratio of 2X performance improvement every 18 months for the 
CPU, this should not be a real problem. In any case, you can use sizzling C 
modules from within Python.

In many cases, you can safely fall back to a much simpler tar.gz package (and 
a few lines of setup instructions, maybe).
