Newbie : desperately need help on "import MySQLdb"

Thanks, John. I finally got it.

You were right. There's probably something strange with my rpm distribution.
"/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages/_mysql.so" was missing.

I downloaded the tar version of MySQLdb and made the build (not the install
as I feared a version problem). I copied _mysql.so in
/usr/lib/python2.2/site-packages et Voila !

Now I can start working :-)
