Has Red Hat helped or hurt?

RedHat should have installed a private copy of 1.5.2 for their
admin scripts and let the user choose which version they wanted as
/usr/bin/python.

RedHat, if you're listening, it's things like this that are going to
make me dump RedHat off my systems before long.
