Automatically log into linux with python

There's a line like this.
        c6:12345:respawn:/sbin/agetty 38400 tty6 linux
in your /etc/inittab

I think you can replace the call to agetty which Gentoo uses to what ever 
you like. 

Using the ReiserFS and an App instead of agetty has the effect of an 
appliance. The user powerers up ready to run. This reliability always 
impresses.
