Zope questions and comments (&Tkinter???)

My personal opinion about Zope (your mileage may vary):

The concept behind Zope is great. However, when I tried it (about one year
ago), I had a lot of trouble trying to figure out things from the
documentation. The template language (DTML) is a hack, and although the
system is designed to be easily extensible using Python itself, I couldn't
manage to make it myself. Zope is big, and the documentation make things
harder by mixing the architectural and the implementation details. I for
myself find things much easier if I get a good description of the
architecture first, to dive into details later.

Since then I've visited Zope's website a few times. The documentation has
greatly improved, but I never found time to install it again. So I don't
know what is the state right now. Working with Zope seems to involve some
planning; it's not a tool that's supposed to be mastered by casual use, but
one that takes some previous study before going into actual usage.

Maybe things have changed, but that was my experience. Just hope that I'm
wrong :-)
