if it's the company cat, it might be worth it.

and from an individual perspective, getting the job done in
2 hours so you can surf the web, chat with your friends, and
just generally fool around waiting for your C++ colleagues to
catch up with you can be a great thing.

I've had people turn down a job offer with the argument that
their current employer allows the use of Python, but doesn't
*know* that you can program much faster in Python.

cannot say I blame them ;-)
