which distro and Gui ?

I find wxPython to be pretty slick and fast,
( yes the demo is very impressive ),
but i also find Tkinter to be easier to learn,
and easier to program.

I recommend trying Tkinter first.
I now use wxPython, because of Boa Constructor,
a very cool, (and free) GUI Builder.
