If you type "python database" into Google, the second link you get is
to http://www.python.org/topics/database/; the "Modules" page has
links to DB/2 and ODBC modules for Python.  This is a silly
discussion, because such modules *do* exist, as everyone is quite well
aware, and have existed for some time.  You simply haven't been
looking very hard, or perhaps at all, for them.
