This worked for me:

ftp://starship.python.net/pub/crew/avv/PyTix/

Note that binaries placed there are built against Python 1.5.2.

Quite recently a person told me that he incorporated this into modern
versions of Tcl/Tk/Tkinter. See http://tix.sourceforge.net/, but I
didn't find any mention of Pytix there.
