Python 2.1 release schedule

The 2.1 PEP mentions:

> Add a default unit testing framework to the standard library.

Is it yet settled which of the Python unit test frameworks this
will be?  Or is there at least a "short list" of candidates?
I looked for a PEP on this, but couldn't find one.  I ask because
I don't yet use unit testing, but was just starting to look into
it.  If there is a standard or default framework experts feel
is particularly suited to Python, I'd like to start there.
