Activestate python vs. Python 2.1.1

Hello everyone,

                             I'm a bit curious about a few things what is
the difference between Python 2.1.1 and Pythonwin?

   Which one would be the better of the two since i'm running windows 98 and
getting ready to run windows 2000?

   Also there is a a particualr script that norton tells me that I should
stop when installing active python 2.1.1. Does anyone know or have
experience with all this?
