Hopefully the country (US) is run by consensus of our representatives, but
even so, "Life goes on" seems like something we shouldn't take too much
for granted. I just pray that they never get to where they have a full
consensus that they want to reverse an old decision, and can not do it,
even with all the might of the country at their disposal.

I guess I think there ought to be a law against (any more) irreversible
decisions with global effects, as best we can manage that.
