PDFLib with Python 2.1

Does anyone have a version of PDFLib (http://www.pdflib.org/) that's been
compiled to work with
Python 2.1 that they would be willing to post (or email to
nrrd at earthlink.net).

I'd compile it myself, but I don't have MS Visual C++ available right now,
and the make files are all Visual C++-centric. Does any one know if there is
there a make file converter to a free compiler?

When I try to run the pre-compiled version of PDFLib it compains that it
can't find python20.dll in the search path.
