That is what setup.py gives when trying it:

$ python setup.py --help
  File "setup.py", line 57
    extlist = [ext for ext in extlist if ext.name == modname]
                     ^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax

List comprehensions are cool, but are they really needed in 
files like setup.py ???
