Hey and Hello,
just starting up the TclTk Front End for Python 1.6,
I can type the following and get always a complete crash of the
python IDLE. I don't get the crash when I use python in console
modus.
Just Type - after the prompt, but without the double quotes - "aü"
That's all. Where does it come from. Actually I did not install the TclTk
libraries, since I have my own TclTk8.3.1 allready on the system. It
should not be a problem from TclTk, because when I launch TclTk itself
nothing happens - of course - when I type "aü" - swiss-german keyboard.
It looks to me like a problem between Python and TclTk, since it doesn't
happen with python in console mode ...

P.S. After trying around a little bit, I found out that IDLE actually
doesn't seems to like
any "ä", "ö" and "ü" at all ... ??? It crashes always just after typing it
in ....
