Pythonwin can't load simple script (Win95, Py1.5.2)

I'm trying to get the python interpreter (eventually with wxPython)
running on a Win95 system.  I can start pythonwin, but when I try
to load even simple python script, pythonwin crashes, complaining
about MFC42.DLL.  (This is using win32all.exe)

The same interpreter and win32 files installed on a Win98 system run
fine.  Unfortunately I have to have this run on a Win95 system.
I've already upgraded DCOM.

Anyone have any ideas?  I'd rather not have to port this to C/C++...
