NPROC

Running SGI IRIX 6.5: Python 1.5.2

I need to get the nproc (max number of processes) value.  The Library
reference page says that the resource module had RLIMIT_NPROC.  Our
resource does not have this variable.

'__name__', 'error', 'getpagesize', 'getrlimit', 'getrusage',
'setrlimit']

Is there a python function to get nproc without writting my own?
