Then your machine is at least twice as fast as mine ;) and it's fast
enough for me, although it tends to get a bit slow for very complex
drawings.

sk2ps has a relatively high startup cost. It imports and initializes
most of the Sketch modules and that alone takes about 2.5 seconds on my
machine.
