If you're going to be using DISLIN you might want to check out my
pxDislin module at:  http://pantheon.yale.edu/~pmm34/pxdislin.html

Other possibilities include the gnuplot module ( URL?), or Graphite (
http://graphite.sourceforge.net - though development on this seems to
have ground to a halt).
